Flash + Print = YES!

"Yes" is what everyone said about this very unique ad campaign combining the power of print and the "WOW" of multimedia Flash.

Caldwell/CVI, a leading manufacturer of window covering components, was looking for a unique and powerful way to unveil their newest product: custom, pre-finished window shutter components.

The product was scheduled to unveil in September 2002. Four inside back cover full page ad slots were reserved in that industries' leading trade publication, "Draperies and Window Covering Magazine", for the four months leading up to the unveil date.

It was decided that the full-page ads would initially be designed to be intentionally vague and deceptive, with each successive ad giving more "clues" to the product with the fourth and final ad being the "official" product unveil featuring the usual product info, ordering info, contact info, etc.

The twist to this campaign was the accompanying multimedia Flash presentation designed to coincide with each ad. In keeping with the "mysterious" nature of the campaign, the domain name "suspenseful.net" was secured to present the Flash content.

The campaign was a smashing success for it created such a buzz in the industry, that when the fourth ad finally came out, the industry insiders were so effectively primed and hyped up, that it was the talk of the industry and absolutely EVERYONE in that business was aware of the new product.
