Bond Program

Check Capital Management's Bond Program complements its equity programs.  For many investors, especially those who are retired, the stability of bonds is important.  Bonds can provide dependable cashflow for purposes ranging from living expenses to funding a child's or grandchild's college education.

Portfolios are tailored for each individual.  This customization refers to the specific timing of bond maturities as well as whether taxable or tax-free bonds are purchased.

As for corporate or taxable bonds, CCM may have an advantage over many other bond managers.  Since we actively research companies for our equities programs, we have familiarity with the financial statements of the businesses.  We often buy bonds from the same companies that we follow in our Quality Growth Program.
